Outreach is person to person contact through home-farmwork site-camp visits. It includes presentations about IMC services at neighborhood centers and other group gatherings. Informational materials and flyers are also distributed.

Assessment is determining whether the individual's needs can be met by IMC or through referrals to other agencies. IMC may make referrals to appropriate community resources,  such as housing, social services, translation, health, nutrition, legal assistance, police, city and county departments, community based organizations, job search, child care, education, counseling assistance,  job counseling, career exploration, advocacy.
