Case management is oversight of the comprehensive delivery of services to families based upon the nature of their need. The case management may be temporary, i.e. , the need may encompass short term or immediate crisis intervention. Or, case management may involve longer term services which involve continuing supportive services and assistance over a period of time. ![]() In conjunction with the client, the staff identify existing barriers to the goals of family stability or self sufficiency, the individual client's goals, capabilities and potential, and services available to meet the client's needs and to enable the client to attain these goals. The client and the counseling staff discuss services and training opportunities and the relationship of the services to the goals. Later sessions, if longer term case management is needed, may include evaluation of progress toward meeting the goals, and, as changes occur, further assessment of need. IMC
